Cooling/heating demand = annual degree days (NOAA). Electricity = state residential average (EIA).
Heating and comfort work extends that foundation. Heating Services and Furnace Services include inspections, burner and ignition checks, and safety testing before cold months arrive. Heat Pumps provide both heating and cooling from one system, and service visits can include charge verification and airflow review. Ductwork Services address leaks, poor airflow, and uneven room temperatures, while Thermostat Services cover installation, programming, and wiring checks.
When equipment fails unexpectedly, Emergency HVAC calls cover urgent repairs outside routine appointments. Maintenance & Tune-up visits take a preventive approach, with filter changes, coil cleaning, electrical connection checks, and performance readings that help catch small issues before they become costly breakdowns.
Granite Bay's hot summers and cool winters place steady demands on heating and cooling equipment, so local experience matters. Rick's Refrigeration serves the community with work scoped to each property, whether a single home or a commercial site. Anyone comparing local pros should ask about the scope of work, timelines, and warranty terms before committing. How do I choose a licensed, insured HVAC contractor in Granite Bay?
Verify the contractor's license on the California state contractor registry and ask for proof of liability and workers' compensation insurance. When searching for an HVAC contractor near me, compare written estimates and read recent customer reviews before deciding.
What should I check before hiring an HVAC professional?
Confirm the license number, request a detailed written estimate, and review the warranty terms covering parts and labor. Make sure the scope of work matches what was discussed before any work begins.
What are signs it is time to call an HVAC professional?
Call a professional if your system short cycles, makes grinding or banging noises, produces uneven temperatures, or causes a sudden rise in energy bills. Frequent breaker trips, a burning smell, or no heating or cooling also warrant prompt attention.
