When people in San Diego search for an HVAC contractor near me or look up AC Services, they usually have a clear problem: a unit that struggles to cool during a warm spell, a room that never reaches the thermostat setting, or a system that runs nonstop without results. Extreme Air is a local HVAC contractor serving homeowners and property owners across the San Diego area, and its technicians focus on finding the underlying cause rather than only the visible symptom.

The company's services include AC Services, Heating Services, Ductwork Services, Heat Pumps, Furnace Services, Thermostat Services, Emergency HVAC, and Maintenance & Tune-up. For cooling work, typical visits include checking refrigerant levels, cleaning coils, and testing capacitors and electrical connections. Ductwork work can involve locating leaks and sealing joints so conditioned air reaches the rooms it is meant to serve. Furnace and heat pump visits often cover heating-mode checks, airflow measurements, and controls, while thermostat jobs may include calibration and wiring inspection. Maintenance & Tune-up visits typically add filter changes and a performance review that can catch small problems early.
Extreme Air holds California state contractor license #681131 and has been licensed since 1993, giving it more than 33 years in the trade. Its work across San Diego reflects the region's mild coastal climate, where salt air and humidity can affect outdoor units, as well as hot inland days that push cooling systems hard in summer.
Homeowners comparing local pros can use HVAC Service Fast to review options side by side, then ask each contractor about scope, timelines, and licensing before booking. A clear conversation at the start often makes the difference.
